A NOTE FROM CAROLE:

Words cannot express how happy I am that you're here. This will be our second retreat at Talta Lodge in Stowe, VT and I am so excited to return! September also happens to be our favorite time to travel to VT as it is peak season! We love that the weather is still warm during the day, the evenings are crisp, and the foliage is making an appearance providing fantastic pockets of color in every corner of the state.

This retreat location is so special to me because Vermont was my first home; where I was born and raised and lived for the first 22 years of my life - I know it like the back of my hand. Although I've been away for 7 years now, it will always be home.

Why? Because Vermont is not your average state - it's magical.

It's welcoming, accepting & loving of all beings, the landscape is picturesque, the air is crisp and fresh, the food is farm-to-table and encourages a healthy lifestyle, it's filled with rolling hills, opens skies, rivers, lakes and mountains which creates a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Oh, and let's not forget the stellar view of the stars and milky way galaxy at night!

It is my honor to lead this retreat and welcome you into my home; I aim to create a space where you feel deeply connected and a sense of belonging, guiding you back home to your own inner essence.

Much love,

Carole the freespiritedwanderer

ABOUT THIS RETREAT:

This 4 night / 5 day retreat is set away in the Green Mountain State of Vermont during Fall Peak Season, allowing us to disconnect in order to reconnect. The location gives us a chance to immerse ourselves in the simplicity of nature - giving us a break from our hectic lives while restoring and rejuvenating ourselves back to our center in order to discover our True Nature.

We will be learning and practicing Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation techniques, Yoga Philosophy (8 Limbs of Yoga), and Ayurvedic studies; food as medicine and the the importance of routine. In addition we will spend time journaling, hiking, adventuring, relaxing, and building intentional community; the feeling that life is best when shared.

Getting deeper into the classes you will learn how to surrender to the flow in Vinyasa, discover freedom and discipline in Ashtanga, reconnect to your center through breathwork and meditation, find peace and calmness within the simplicity of nature, practice gratitude for the food that nourishes you, and develop a life of more meaning & fulfillment via the 8-limbs

This yoga retreat is a great opportunity for someone to move out of their comfort zone (where - let's face it - nothing exciting ever happens) and get to know themselves on a deeper level. As we begin to learn who we truly are and find more love and appreciation for ourselves we not only become stronger for us but also for others. This allows us to build a solid foundation for community; discovering we are better together.

You love nature, being outside, exploring new places, diving deeper into the practice of yoga as a whole, meeting other like-minded people, and having time to yourself where you can reflect,  rest and decompress.

3 THINGS YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS RETREAT

TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR 2023 VERMONT RETREATERS:

Tammy S., FL

"If you’re reading this and thinking about joining one of Carole’s retreats, you should book it right away! I went on the Stowe Vermont 2023 trip and it was beyond my expectations. The yoga classes are the best! Carole’s style is awesome and good for all levels. The kayaking, hiking, and local spots were so fun and everything was well organized. I LOVED all of the food, too! It’s one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. I had an amazing time and can’t wait to go on another one! Many thanks to Carole and Scotty!"

Gabrielle M., St. Barts

"It was a journey into the unknown, but I soon realized that beyond the practice of yoga, there's a language of yoga that allows us to communicate and feel at ease with everyone, no matter where in the world we are. Throughout this well-balanced retreat, Carole imparted her solid knowledge with energy and kindness, combined with the vibrations of Vermont nature. An unforgettable interlude."

Jeanette M., NC

"I cannot express how much this retreat surpassed my expectations. I went in with an open mind and heart and left with new friends, a deeper understanding of yoga, and breathtaking views that I will continue to revisit in my mind. The accommodations were great and had plenty of spaces for socializing and being alone to think and journal. Carole and Scotty did a wonderful job making everyone feel comfortable and cared for while there. I hope to go on a another retreat soon!"
